What is your name? Where are you from?
Claire Lundberg. I’m from Berkeley, California.

What is the project you are working on at SPACE?
We are working on a play by Anne Washburn called The Ladies that is in its first European production so it’s in a French translation.

How have you been spending your time up at SPACE?
It’s the first time we’ve been able to have most of the company together, we have some French actors and some  American actors. So we’ve been able to do quite a bit of research together, which is great. We had a translation already, but we’re now reading through it and making sure it sounds correct in French and making sure the acting beats are correct.

What is coming up next for the production?
We will go back to Paris. The idea for the production is to do it at Festival d'Avignon, which is a festival in France, next summer. We have one or two French actors we need to integrate so we’ll probably do another reading at the end of summer. And then we will do a staged workshop in November.

If you were to be reincarnated as a farm animal, what farm animal would you be?
What’s coming to mind right now is a pig and I don’t quite know why except they’re supposed to be intelligent.
