Hello Internet universe! My name is Sydney Shepherd. I’ll be entering my senior year at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts BFA Drama Program this coming fall. This summer, my last before I graduate, has been full of adventure. Last month I recorded my first 5-song EP of original music, Gypsy Life, which I am working on getting mastered and releasing soon. Next month I’ll be making my NYC theatre debut, playing the cello in The Picture of Dorian Gray at Sonnet Repertory Theatre.

But THIS month I’m spending my time as an intern at the beautiful SPACE on Ryder Farm. SPACE has begun a new series called Sharing Space, in which artists who are spending time on the farm get to share their projects with the community.
The next Sharing Space series will take place on Thursday, July 19 6:30-8:00. It will feature Matthew Strother, Max Strum, and Joe Alessi, who will be sharing their work on their upcoming film, The Man Who Was Thursday. In addition to this, I’ll be performing live music along with fellow intern and UNCSA student, Alec Shaw. If you are in NYC, it’s only a short train ride away! It’s an evening not to be missed!
