What is your name and where are you from?
Hiiiii my name is James Lecesne and I live in Manhattan.
What are you working on this week?
I’m working on two things. Mostly I’m making the final edits on a young adult novel, which is coming out in Fall of 2017. I’m also working on some revisions for a play entitled, “The Mother of Invention” that I’ll be doing in NY in 2017.
Where have you been spending most of your time since you got to the farm?
I’ve been in the gazebo which is a favorite place to work. And I’ve been in my fabulous Ambrose room which is really lovely and quiet. And you know, I count part of the work as walking through the fields and woods.
So what’s coming up next for the projects you’re working on this week?
I hand in this young adult novel to my publisher in July and then probably there will be more edits. And the play is being done at the Abingdon Theatre on 36th St. in New York, which I just found out yesterday while I was here. So that’s exciting.
If you were to be reincarnated as a farm animal, what animal would you be and why?
As a farm animal? I love goats. I’m a big, big fan of the goat. And why? Because they’re so so smart. Sort of independent thinkers and they’re actually really helpful on a farm.
